The City Creek is actually a stream that flows through the City Creek Canyon and goes on to the Jordan River. The City Creek Canyon is a great spot for those who like to go hiking. With a total length of 9 miles and is elevated up to 740 feet, you will surely keep those feet working.

It has an out and back trail type and does not require much skill from the hikers. Every year there are hikers both from the city and from other parts of the world. They take part in the year round hiking which takes one to four hours.

The City Creek Canyon Trail is not only good for hikers but also for those that enjoy biking, running or jogging. Dogs are allowed here for a walk and the trail is in fact kid friendly. The road begins at the Bonneville Boulevard and goes up to the canyon. If you are planning to use your car on the road, they have stopped allowing cars even on even numbered days. Only service vehicles and bikes are permitted.
