Salt Lake City in Utah is a hub of musicians from around the world. Various upcoming and well known artists hold concerts in Salt Lake City on a regular basis. While tickets are required to see some of them, for others there is no entry fee charged.

You can attend the Live Music and the Spoken Word Broadcast that takes place every Sunday at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Listen to and get lost in the inspiring musical rendition of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The choir's weekly radio program is one of the world's longest-running network broadcast dating back to July 1929.

Ryan Murphy will be the music director for this broadcast that will feature Franz Schubert's Gloria in Excelsis from Mass in G Major, Lloyd D. Newell's Spoken Word and Randall Thompson's The Road Not Taken among other music selections. You can also listen to excerpts from Gently Raise the Sacred Strain, God Be with You Till we Meet Again and As the Dew from Heaven Distilling during the broadcast.

Brigham Young Historic Park and Concerts in the Park

If you are a music fan and visiting Salt Lake City between the months of June and August, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy free informal concerts at the beautiful Brigham Young Historic Park on Tuesday and Friday evenings. As there is limited seating, you can bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

The concert lasts for about an hour and is moved indoors to the Assembly Hall on Temple Square in case of inclement weather. Artists from different genres of music perform at this concert. Thus, you can hear anything from folk songs to Rock and Roll and Broadway and Show Tunes in this concert.
