
Visiting Liberty Park Salt Lake City: Direction to Mill Farm, Forest Park and Locust Patch
Liberty Park is the second largest urban park located at 700 East and 900 South of the Salt Lake City. The park is comprised of large grassy areas, along with the trees and a pond with two islands. The Liberty Park is owned by Brigham young who has planted many trees that has now populated this place as a city's park. Originally, this area was known s Mill Farm, Forest Park, and Locust Patch, but in 1881, it opened for the public as a recreational place.
Liberty Park is generally considered as the premier park in Utah for children's recreation as there is a small amusement park for children, which includes playground, swings, sandboxes, a tree house and paddleboat rentals. So, it has become a popular destination among the visitors.
During the month of summer, the liberty Park also hosts some concerts and cultural programs by the Utah Arts Council. Some of the past concerts include: Russian Music by the Salt Lake Russian Performing Group and North African and Middle Eastern performance.

Large crowds gather in the park during Sundays in the spring, summer and early fall for Drum circles. A huge crowd of people, pets, musical instruments and dance merge during the Sundays at the park. Liberty Park is also the site of Salt Lake City's Pioneer Day fireworks display on the 24th July.
