The Salt Lake Temple is one of the largest temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it is the masterpiece of the 10 acre Temple Square of Salt Lake City, in Utah. The structure of the Salt Lake Temple is recognized as the religious symbol of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints across the world. Its six major towers and aisle represents the restoration of priesthood authority, with the appearance of the "House of the Lord" in its exterior.

The foundation stone of the temple was laid on February 14, 1853, with Brigham Young. Its great structure is made up of granite and sandstone. The builders also used the wooden railroad spur, a canal, and constructed wagon. The temple was completed within a year and nearly 2,000 people crowded the fourth floor of the Assembly Room.
